History
Systech
Environmental Corporation was founded in 1969 as an
environmental engineering consulting firm.
As byproduct
disposal became increasingly regulated, opportunity
met need in 1979 when Systech launched its first operation
in Paulding, Ohio with the site's cement kilns utilizing
liquid industrial byproducts as supplemental fuel.
Several
more kiln facilities adopted this technology, and
by 1986 Systech was managing operations at five locations.
During this same year, Systech became a wholly-owned
subsidiary of Lafarge, the leading cement and construction
materials manufacturer in the world.
Today,
Systech is successfully co-processing at more than
15 locations in North America.
